Public Skating Sessions at Family Ice Center

Family Ice Center is Southern Maine’s premier year round ice arena and community center. The venue offers public access, family skating sessions throughout the year, adult pick-up hockey games and specially designated “freestyle” skating sessions. The FIC Skate Shop is open year round and offers skate sharpening services and skate rentals.

FIC is also home to Northern New England’s only artificially refrigerated outdoor skating venue. The Lee Twombly Outdoor Skating Center is open from November to mid-March from 10am-9pm daily for public skating. 2011-12 FALL/WINTER SEASON SKATING SCHEDULE

Indoor Family Skating (Admission: $5 p/person)

Monday & Wednesday 10:30am-11:50am

Saturday 5:00pm-6:00pm

Sunday 1:20pm-2:30pm

2011-12 Fall /Winter Outdoor Skating on Lee Twombly Pond Skating Center at Family Ice
November -mid March – Open daily 10:00am-9:00pm daily (Please visit the site home page for pond skating conditions & updates). Admission: $5 p/ person

2011-12 Fall/ Winter Open Freestyle Sessions (open freestyle ice)
Tuesday & Friday 10:30am-11:50am (Cost: $10.00 p/person)

Sessions are open to all adult recreational and figure skaters. Youth figure skaters are welcome when accompanied by a figure skating coach.

2011-12 Fall \Winter Pick Up Hockey Sessions
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 12:00pm-1:30pm (Cost: $8 p/ person). Select weekday evening sessions are offered throughout the season.
