Family Ice Center is operated by Family Ice, a privately owned and operated 501-C3 non profit corporation. The facility receives no local, state of municipal funding and operates solely on revenues generated from
ice rental sales, corporate sponsorship agreements and donations from the private sector and grant/foundation community.
As a way of supporting our community, Family Ice created a skating based community outreach program called “Opportunity Skate”. Since the program’s inception in 1999, it now offers 250 hours of ice time annually to numerous school groups and private non-profit associations that support the physically and mentally challenged, youth at risk groups, senior citizen groups and various adult and youth based special education and life skills programs.

The list of program participants is growing each year and the need for additional funding to support this growth is urgent. The Opportunity Skate program now regularly supports the weekly recreation activities of over 1,000 local citizens per year and with additional financial assistance we can create new programs and touch even more lives.
