Welcome to Family Ice Center – Southern Maine’s premier year round ice skating and community center. Located just north of Portland in Falmouth, Maine, the Family Ice Center offers a full compliment of year round skating based programs that include public skating indoors and outdoors, on Maine’s only refrigerated outdoor skating surface, Lee Twombly Pond. Through our skating based community out-reach program and scholarship fund, Opportunity Skate, we offer ice time and instruction at no charge to disadvantaged children, senior citizens, teens at risk and to programs that support the mentally and physically challenged sector of our community. The facility is privately owned and is managed by Family Ice, a 501-C3 non profit corporation, with a company mission to serve the community through skating. The Family Ice Center provides a safe, healthy, family oriented skating experience that is inclusive within our community.

| FIC HOSTS SKATE WITH BOBY ORR NIGHT |
Family Ice recently hosted a skate with Bobby Orr night. Customers and invited guests from Boston Cedar Millwork of Massachussets and Applicator Sales of Portland, Maine enjoyed a night at the rink with Bobby Orr. Attendees were treated to a four hour skate with the Boston Bruin great along with special prize giveaways and complimentary food & beverages.

| Family Ice Hosts the 3rd Annual "TRY SPEED SKATING" Day |
The Great Atlantic Speed Skating Club hosted another TRY SPEEDSKATING event at Family Ice Center on Saturday, September 6th from 4:30-7:00pm. The event allowed both adults and kids to learn the basics of speed skating and enroll in our first ever Learn To Speedskate class.
Certified coaches will be in attendance to instruct all particpants througout the weekly clinic sessions at FIC.

| Rousseau Hockey Clinics Return to Family Ice |
The Rousseau Hockey Clinics recently completed an 8th season of teaching our local hockey players the basic & advanced skills of the game. Guy, Gary and Scott Rousseau along with their experienced teaching staff offer a full compliment of spring, summer & fall adult men, women and youth hockey clinics that focus on all the basic and advanced skills of the game of hockey.

GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL PRE-SEASON SKILLS AND CONDITIONING CLINIC !!!
Get ready for the upcoming season with some great coaching and lots of ice time (2 hours per session). Weekly Sunday afternoon sessions from 1:30pm-3:40pm begin October 5th and end November 2nd.

| Lee Twombly Pond House at FIC - The Perfect Place For Your Next Party!!! |
Lee Twombly Pond is Northern New England's only refrigerated outdoor skating surface and is open for public skating 10am-10pm daily from early December to mid February (weather permitting). The surface is professionally groomed and resurfaced multiple times per day to ensure top quality ice conditions for our skaters. Cost is $5 per person for an ALL DAY skating ticket. Falmouth residents skate for free outside with proof of residency. Please note that although the pond is refrigerated safe ice conditions are weather dependant and FIC reserves the right to close the pond at any time due to poor ice conditions.
If you are looking for a unique venue for a company party or special function consider the Pond House at FIC for your next event. The post and beam building, complete with indoor & outdoor fireplaces, automated climate control systems and restrooms, is located adjacent to the outdoor skating pond and offers your guests an unforgettable evening of entertainment.
